Pictures of a successful bark graft

My first successful bark grafts. I grafted these in late Jan, this picture was taken in mid-march. I never labeled them,because I never thought they would actually take. But I think it's flavor king and burgundy

Your bark was slipping in January? I think I have to wait until May.

No it wasn't really slipping, I sliced down the bark about 1" from the top then gently force the diagonally cut scion behind the bark. Just like in one of the DWN youtube videos

Thanks for posting that. I haven't yet successfully bark grafted so it is useful to see.

Looking good! I top worked one of my peach trees that way. The grafts heal in completely in a few years.
