Honeyberry - leaves turning yellow and brown

Hi everybody,

I'm new to this forum and pretty new to growing fruits. I bought a house 8 months ago and this spring I planted a whole bunch of fruit trees, vines, etc. Some of them are doing great and others not so much.

My honeyberries, for example, are not doing well. The seemed to be happy for 2 weeks or so after planting (in March), but after that they stopped growing. They have been gradually turning yellow and now brown. I added some iron sulfate 2 weeks ago thinking that they want more acid soil. But so far no change in their condition. Maybe they want more water? I've increased the water I give them as well, but so far, no change.

I've been thinking I need to dig them up and pot them in different soil for a while just to get them away from whatever it is they don't like about their current location.

I'd appreciate any advice you can offer about Honeyberries and what might be making mine so unhappy.

thanks!
Jennifer

They may be Nitrogen deficient.Maybe try some fertilizer like Miracle-Gro Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food. Brady

It could be lack of water too. I have seen many plants stressed this season myself. My trees are, I watered and fertilized and they look better. A couple tomato plants look light green, but have enough food and water. I think a blight hit them.
