Anyone else around here notice their Anne raspberries ripening earlier? My plant is significantly bigger this year and I picked the first 2 ripe berries tonight. Usually they are mid September and later than the Caroline/heritage I had. This year the one red I have has just started blooming

I still am having a summer crop on my Anne cultivar. The primocanes show no flowers, but on Fall Gold I have fruit from the summer harvest and berries forming on the primocanes. Pretty cool!

My Anne and Caroline raspberries have started ripening their Fall crop during the last week. This year, many of my berry plants have been early. I think a really cold winter mixed with an early last frost date (4/16/14) got the plants moving early.

It's really nice having many cultivars, as the whole summer is covered. They do ripen at different times.
