Strange,... right next to it and touching is another bush and clean, different variety, first I thought of cutting the diseased one down but I might need if for pollination.

Konrad the only information I have been able to find is that the mites and their eggs create these 'finger's. It is best to remove and destroy the leaves as the mites will winter over in the soil, if you let the leaves drop naturally. It is not a serious mite or disease. From what I have read, it is more of a 'cosmetic' problem. Mrs. G

Insect leaf galls are cosmetic, not damaging.
