Hi all

I posted a question here the other day about grafting onto old wood in cherry trees. I'm looking for advice about grafting buds onto the lower section of the trunk in order to get new growth low on the tree..

I've added a picture here that shows the approximate shape of my trees. As you can see, there are no existing low branches I can head back to encourage new growth. What I'd like to know is if there is any way to graft buds into the lower section of the trunk, remembering the trees are around 10 years old.
