Orient pear in a bottle. Although the pear was about 2" when picked yesterday I had hoped to let it stay on the tree a little longer.

Another picture This project did not go totally as planned. The biggest mistake I made was not choosing a pear that could be inserted farther into the bottle. The pear was touching the side and stayed wet. The pear recently started to get darker on this side and I decided to pick it before more damage occurred. This was just a fun project with no real useful end purpose. Bill

If you had used a Shipova pear, at least you would have a ship in a bottle.

Larry. My ship has sailed for this season. Good comment. Bill
