Wal-mart not selling Plaster of Paris?

I have just been victimized by the darn "tree rats" for the first time. They carried away all 15 of my first apricot crop, and all the hand pollinated pears from my grandpa's tree. I am finally understanding the wrath that a person can feel.

Anyway, I got myself to Wal-mart to purchase Plaster of Paris only to find out, after an hour of searching with no computer system to aid, that apparently they no longer carry it. They carry some expensive Crayola pre-moistened stuff, but not cheap Plaster of Paris.

I thought about going Postal when she said their computer only allowed them to look something up if they knew the UPC. How archaic is that????

I know the craft store will carry it but there's another trip to make now.

Sorry, just had to vent! Did that woman behind the Customer Service counter really not understand how desperate I am? How rude to stop carrying it!

I'm new at this. What do you use plaster for on fruit trees?

Thanks for the link Glenn. Great thread. Learned a lot.

Don mentioned they removed another thread on that subject. Too bad. Newcomers like me can always learn.

And good luck with cutting down the varmit pop a notch or two milehighgirl!

Oh, weird. The link that I provided is gone. That's the first time I've seen the moderators do that. Well, at least you saw it and used it before it was removed. Is providing a link to a nursery's poor GWD rating against the rules here? I wonder if it's allowable for me to simply tell people how to find it themselves?
