 o
Pink or White Pomelo - Central Florida

A local nursery in Orlando sells two kinds of Pomelo trees. They call them "Pink Pomelo" or "White Pomelo".

I would assume they are referring to the color of the fruit flesh. But the seller doesn't know any other info.

What are the chances the pink one is a Hirado Buntan Pomelo?
That is the variety I want to get. Anyone in Central Florida know what other variety the pink one might be instead?

I think you got good chance pink is Hirado Buntan Pomelo as you are in Fla.

The white sweet.
Pink sour but Hirado Buntan Pomelo milder.

I don't no anything about these fruit but did search.

Tropical Forum may be more help and Florida forum.

Thanks for the info. I went to the nursery and the pink pomelo had the letters "HB" next to the name, so I think I'm in good shape.

I went ahead and bought it.
