Hello, I have just acquired some Meyer Lemon Tree Seeds. I'm new to this (planting). I saw a video on YouTube on how to germinate seeds so I want to make sure I'M doing this right. I took my seeds and placed them in a damp paper towel. Then I wrapped the paper towel so that the seeds were in there snug. I then placed my damp paper towel (which has the seeds in it) in a Ziplock style bag and sealed it. 1) Do I need to re-moisten the paper towel at any time? When I received my seeds there weren't any directions on how to germinate the seeds. Lil' help? :)

Thanks for the heads up! I just copied and pasted this thread into the Citrus forum. Now how do I delete this one? I don't see any options to delete or close this thread.

I germinated some from a few Lemons that were on a small tree bought at a store. They were done in your way described YMS.I think I peeled the outer seed coat off first,so it didn't take as long.Just about all of them grew. Mine were kept in a plastic tub with some Fig starts, with a heat mat under it,so they weren't cool. The bags can be checked for moisture, but if sealed, they should retain it. Mine took about a month to grow. Just for an experiment,I put some Tangerine seeds of a couple different kinds in some half gallon pots and lots of them came up,so it's not too difficult. Brady
