| Top shoots of non-fruit bearing branches are covered in white powdery mat over the normally colored bark, leaves curl upward with no other defect visible. Can scratch off the white easily [see in image a small area scratched. image is tip of shoot cut off. Most affected shoots are the tallest ones, no powder seen on lower fruiting areas yet] 2nd tree, different variety has powder but drops leaves instead of curling. Cures and prevention please. Thanks |

| That's the normal protective fuzz on some Asian pears. It wears off over time as the shoots mature. It's not powdery mildew. |
