| 2nd attempt at starting a strawberry going well. plants are send out numerous runners.
what is the normal way to keep the bed free of weeds? obviously I can pull them (which I am doing now) but I was hoping for an approach that would be less labor ihntensive. |

| I've seen in Florida they grow them on hills with black plastic... I have no idea any other way to do it then to use some sort of barrier. My bed is being ripped out and redone. Not sure how I will proceed. Might make a long narrow raised bed for them... |

| I'm planning to try the plastic. Not quite sure how you set the plants through it, though. |
