A flock of crows has moved in to the woods around my orchard. They are all over the orchard and the fruit is not even ripe yet. Is there any ways to get rid of them besides shooting them? I would hate to have to net all my trees, normally the birds only go after the really tasty ones, ut crows will eat everything.

I also have a crow infestation. Crows are very intelligent and supportive of their individual flock members. I bought a crossman pellet rifle and shot 2 of the group of 7. Afterward the group stayed away from my house. I told this story to a neighbor who related that he had shot one and hung the carcas in a tree and the crows stayed away.

Shoot one with a shotgun or whatever and leave the carcass on the ground. No need to display it- especially if you have neighbors with a different values system. The crows have the intelligence and eyesight to see it on the ground and will know it's time to find greener pastures.
