Young Cherry Tree - Small leaves are yellow

Hi All,

This is bare-root cherry tree planted in large pot about 1 month ago. Some of buds on the whip are dying. (small yellow leaves fall off and leave empty scars) In your experience, is this something I should worry? or Will these buds come back next year?

Your tree looks healthy. I don't think what you describe is any cause for alarm. Cherries lose spurs from time to time. As long as the tree has healthy new growth there will be new spurs.
