| Same with my young D'Anjou. The whole tree was dark green in the spring, but it started to get lighter green. Now it is getting a red blush all over. The leaves feel crisp, but they are not crumbly yet. Literature only suggest mineral deficiency or too much/too little water. In my case, there is no reason to suspect any of these conditions. The rain has been adequate. There are other pears, apples, plums, and peach in the same area that are doing fabulous. I inspected the above ground portion tree and see no damage. I hope something isn't attacking the roots. I have never had a problem with root fungus or subterranean pest in the area. |

| Well in my experience my pears turn a reddish then orange and yellow in the fall, but it is July and while we have had some cool nights nothing has been low enough to start dormancy. We have been having some warm drier periods followed by lots of rain. I just dont want it to be fighblight. |
