Calcium nitrate is used to help treat the bitter pit disorder of apples. That's a lack of calcium in the fruit resulting in sunken spots on apples. Other than that I haven't heard of it being used much. Ammonium sulfate or Urea are probably cheaper. AS is good on alkaline soils because of it's acidifying effect. Urea is cheap and good where lower pH isn't wanted or needed.

Fertilizing once a month with nitrogen is good if you want max growth but not usually good on bearing fruits. 10-10-10 every month is way overkill. If you need the P and K apply once a year. Don't apply them if not needed.

No question that fertilizer schedule will result in rapid establishment of any kind of grapes or other fruits. So if growing Muscadines by all means go for it. They do cut fertilizer after bearing beings and do recommend a soil test.

Some of the info is on the questionable side. They say most of the feeder roots are in the top 1/2 inch of soil and then recommend shallow cultivation if needed. I guess it better be really shallow. Mulch would be better.

You can buy calcium nitrate at any feed & seed store. It's about $17 for a 50b bag.
