I usually spray all my trees with special borer spray in the spring. This year I ran out and decided to pass on it. Bad decision. I am seeing small cuts up the new growth on many trees. The cuts are all on the undersides of branches and in most cases the branches die or break off. What kind of bug is this? Would the borer spray have helped? I did spray with the usual insect spray. My fruit trees were hit and my Chicopin oaks. Thanks
