Blueberry leaves withering / wilting

Hi all. I have recently planted a North American Highbush blueberry bush (Vaccinium corymbosum). It's been doing perfectly okay until now, even delivering a few new leaves. It gets its weekly dose of rainwater, daily dose of sunshine and I planted it in acidic soil.
Since tomorrow, the upper half of one branch has withered, with one leave showing a black spot. Can anyone tell what could be the problem?

Depending on your climate and soil composition, watering once a week could be insufficient.
