Tristan Strawberry runners?

So I recently purchased what I believe is a Tristan Strawberry plant. In reading over, it says that this plant normally puts out few to no runners. I just want to know if there are exceptions to that rule since I have literally 10 or more runners that have popped up. I have only had the mother plant for about 2 months. I am not complaining, I am excited for the runners...But I am wondering if perhaps the variety is off? I have pink flowers and medium sized berries (they are very delicious btw). I am fairly certain it isn't an "ornamental strawberry" as the berries are very good...

Mine are running quite a bit too. I'm trying to figure if I can catch a few runners without having to find ground space for my hanging basket.

I've been impressed with Tristan. It's pretty and the berries are good size.
