I been told 12 years 8 years good production I have some that 9 years old they declining this year. I get from roots new plants transplant in winter new place do find. The third year start to count good years 10th year last count, This don't happen in all location just most general.

Application of some inches of composted manure annually may extend the lifespan, also allowing some canes to tip root every 2 or 3 years will keep younger plants in the mix.

Except for new varieties purchased, my original varieties from the late 1990's are still going strong using the above methods.
