Ya me too, I have my first fruit on my Satsuma that's the same size. I don't think it will grow much bigger. It's fun seeing it hanging there. My little tree had 275 flowers, but it's mate didn't flower. Mine is at the bottom branch by the trunk. I didn't see it at first.

I have a three year old orchard so when my baby trees bud I am anxious with not much to do but count the flowers! I wont be doing that next year because the trees grew three foot on every branch! They're seven foot tall now. I'm hoping for fruit next year. I have trees with just leaves this year. I have been trying the secrete of urine for fertilizer. My peach trees leaves doubled in size in just a couple weeks, and all the leaves are dark green. Some are about two inches wide and eight inches long. Now if I didn't have JB"s!

Here's a pic of my Toka (Bubblegum plum). It has 5 fruit on it, so hopefully I'll get to try it for the first time.

I planted it in a pot in 2012, then after 2 seasons, I buried the fabric pot (last fall). While it bloomed last spring, this is the first time it has set.

You have any other plums for pollination?

Yes, I've got quite a few Japanese plums, all relatively young. My Superior (big fruit set) and Satsuma (no fruit set) both had a lot of blossoms this year, though they were almost done by the time the Toka started. I also have one year old AU Rosa and AU Producer (labels were both on one of the two when I got them, so hopefully I'll find out soon which is which when I get fruit). One of the AU was blooming at the same time as Toka (almost perfect overlap). My newly planted Lavinia (very nice tree from Cummins) also had a single bloom. Neither of the last two set any, so all I've got for plums this year is Superior and Toka.

A lot of the row in the above picture is also Euro plums, all planted this spring. At the top of the pic, you can see a huge pile of woodchips, waiting for me to spread in other parts of the yard.

Here's a pic of Superior, which I probably should have thinned more heavily. In the background are some of the weeds the mulch would have prevented...
