Hi I have a six year old peach tree which I have nursed along for the last four years battling leaf curl all the way. This year I cracked it with a tiny bit of curl which I could contain, and the tree was full of fruit. You can understand my absolute horror to find that on maturity three quarters of them contained EARWIGS. Can somebody please advise me how I can stop this for future harvests so that for the first time we can enjoy the fruits that we have waited so long for(I have applied a sticky band on the trunk) Peter..

Was the band(Tanglefoot?)put on before the earwigs? That should stop them. Make sure there are no branches touching the ground or other plants, bridges that they can cross over. Brady

Thanks Brady, I now realize that some branches did actually touch the fence at a later stage. Regards Peter

I once had an army of ants coming over to my cherry via an apple next-door that had one small limb barely touching the cherry. Scott
