Ground Cherry

I just tried a ground cherry for the first time. It was an Aunt Molly's Ground Cherry from Jungs. I've read that they taste like a cross between a cherry tomato and a pineapple, and that is exactly what mine tasted like. Very sweet, can't wait for more. They are probably not for everyone, but if you like salsa with pineapple in it, you'll love these. I started them from seed. They took awhile to germinate and stayed small for the longest time indoors. I transplanted two. One didn't make it but the other one absolutely took off. Grows like a tomato plant but spreads out a lot more. Seems really easy to grow, and they fall off the plant when ripe.
