Sorry I cannot tell you when they are ready for picking, but I can sure tell you that they look very good and quite appetizing....

Pears falling off the tree are probably overripe.

Mark the date and remember to pick earlier next year.

I pull at them and have only had a few pull off freely.

Im assuming I wait till they pull off free at a horizontal angle, correct?

You could try a refractometer and measure the brix.
