Black Velvet apricots

I bought three pounds of black velvet apricots (plumcots---50% plum, 50% apricots) from Costco. ...Has anyone tried them? I been buying them since 2008; and they are delicious. Black skin gives way to a candy like-sweetness flesh; They are fuzzy like an apricot but round as an angeleno plum.

Patented as "sweetcot".

I got 3 seedlings about a foot tall. I will graft it to an adult plum tree to accelerate fruiting. Don't know if it even comes close to its parent. Just having fun or I can use it as a rootstock down the road.LOL. BTW, I do like the sweetness of it and so juicy.

Flavor? Apricot or plum?

I've seen them at Sam's Club in the past, but never bought any...

They are more plum flavor than apricot. Very juicy and sweet. Frank, buy some next time you are at Sam's and try them out. I think you will like them.
