Which bare-root fruit trees? It's order-time!

Ok, so it looks like all of the nurseries that carry the Dave Wilson trees are taking orders now for bare-roots in the Spring.

Whare are you going to order??

There aren't really any new ones that I can see. Most disappointingly, they didn't make any of the commercially-available additional co-pollinators for royal lee and minnie royal available. Bummer.

However -- I am going to order some trees!

A 4-in1 cherry for my mom (via Bay Laurel Nursery shipping)

And for me:
Nectarines - Nectazee, Double Delight and maybe an Arctic Star;
Some peaches (not sure which yet, but low-chill);
Apples - Pink Lady, Red Fuji and Spitzenberg
and and English Morello Sour Cherry. Yay!

How about you?

Minnie royal and royal lee, a 4 in 1 apricot for my Mom, and possibly a cot n candy aprium. I also ordered 6 apple trees from kufflecreek so that is a pretty big undertaking for me. Wicksons crab, junaluska, pink pearl, Williams pride, granny smith, and King David. This will be only my second spring planting trees.

This will be my first attempts at growing fruit trees. So for next spring I'm looking at purchasing apples and cherries and maybe an asian pear.

I've talked to a local extension service for my region and I'm going to go with an early, mid, and late season apple. Likely Pristine for early, Honeycrisp for mid, and Empire for later. Probably all on Bud9 rootstock.

For cherries I'm going to get them grown on Gisela 5 rootstock and likely White Gold, Lapins, and Black York.

Not sure about the Asian pear but considering Chojuro and Shinko

From Cummins nursery I have ordered the following apple trees.
Crimson Gold-G41 rootstock
Pixie Crunch-G41
Zestar-G41
Sundance-G41
Chieftain-G11
These are to finish my trellis plantings.

Also ordered 25 G969 rootstocks & 25 B118 rootstocks for my grafting adventures.
