Nanking cherry from seeds?

I did not want to change the subject of Konrad thread that he started for "Evan cherry from seed?" so I started this new thread for Nanking cherry since I just dug out White Naking cherry seedling from under the bush and I know these are not suckers but from germinated seeds.

Will it grow into a viable fruiting bush (of White Nanking cherry)? The original bush was on its own roots and it fruits well (sweeter & a bit bigger than the red Nanking cherry).

Since no one else is venturing on this one I'll take a guess: tomentosa seems to seed easily and I believe the seedlings are, like many plums and wild cherries, reasonable representatives of their kind.

But I'm half-way guessing and stand ready to be corrected.

Yes...I was reading the same long time ago, ...on the red one's
anyway, not sure about the white, I would just try and see, you
can also use it for a dwarfing plum root stock.
