swd id - what to do about grapes?

I have removed (burned/buried) my Tomato and Black Currant crop as many were infested with larva and surrounded by (what I strongly suspect) Spotted Wing Drosophila. Anyone have success against this pest. I still have Grapes I would like to get out of the season that as of yet appear unaffected, however there is only about 50' of yard between the current infestation occurred and my vines. Zone 4, Northeast South Dakota.

I also posted in pest management forum...but the Fruit forum has more lively discussions :)

You have to spray for SWD, although I saw a comment from MSU a couple days ago which said they are experimenting with netting and having some initial success.

We had bad SWD last year. They left our grapes alone. I think the thicker skin helps a lot.
It may also have been that the cool nights were knocking them back already in population by the time grapes came ripe.

You could distract many of them by hanging apple cider vinegar traps some distance from the grapes.

Keep removing any deformed or injured grapes.

Cooler weather will help.

Certain methods of making juice or puree can filter out the larva from the finished product. Chilling or freezing the fruit makes the larvae come to the surface for easier removal.

Sprays containing Spinosad can be effective.

I have Valiant grapes which are behind because of the cool year, and just starting to sweeten up...which is why I have this conundrum. So far, none have been spotted in or around the vines, so windfall_rob I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT!

I usually wait until the frost before picking and processing which itself takes several days. Frosts up this way can occur any time in the next 2 months!

My inclination is to individually rap about 60 bunches with netting and hope for the best! Thanks for the info!!!
