| Hi I have a 4 to 5 year old cabernet vine which for two years has produced small bunches of small grapes. It is in a very large frost free pot and has regular water and feed and the plant looks extremely healthy. This year I snipped the tops off the shoots so that the goodness went into the grape. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Regards Peter. |

| I would check to see if the grapes look like the right variety, you may have gotten some dud variety and not cabernet. Besides that I don't see a clear answer. Grapes need to be pruned heavily in the winter, you may have too many shoots if you are not doing that. See the grape growing in pots guide below for other ideas of what you may need to be doing.
