'Magness' on quince

As I recall the turn around time to bear for magness is LONG. My uncle bought a house years back with an established and labeled tree that still produces IMHO the best pear around.
Assuming enhanced precocity, what timeline could I expect on quince?
3-4yrs with good cultural practices?

RE: 'Magness' on quince

I hope so, my Magness not on quince is ten years old with no fruit, so I added one on quince this spring. Given how slow Magness is, it may take more like five years to fruit on quince, but I sure hope it is faster. It is about the best pear I have ever eaten. The only downside is it is somewhat small.
