Fruit trees have had no water in six months - salvageable?

Wife just purchased a repossession in the high deserts of Nevada with a peach and two apple trees. The varieties are unknown. Fruit in this locality is rare. These are the first fruit trees I recall seeing.

The trees have not been irrigated for at least six months. Rainfall this year has been about 0.42in. The peaches have thumb sized fruit. The apples have fruit the size of a golf ball.

What remedial irrigation would you recommend?

Pull off the fruit. I would flood both trees. Then, water at least once or twice a week deeply. After the 2nd or 3rd watering, I would fertilize with a low nitrogen fertilizer to stimulate some root growth, as you're getting ready to head into the dormant season. Hopefully this will save your trees.
