Brown rot question

my peach tree has brown rot but some of the fruit is ready to pick and has black spots on them. are they safe to eat if you cut off the skin? thanks.

Yes, safe to eat if you get rid of all the discolored flesh under the skin - I would recommend a wide margin. If there is only a small amount of rot, the taste can be normal.
