Olpea, Its Mrs. G. I was just hoping, I'm sure this isn't your peach.. . Its just upsetting, waiting three years for nothing. Ugh!

I can't remember when I wrote that, but I'm thinking it must have been a little while ago.

Unfortunately, I don't think you have the same peach. The peach I described is very hard to grow, but the taste is very good, probably my favorite peach of the season.

I do have to spray it every year with an antibiotic in order to get fruit, but it's good enough I keep it in spite of the spraying. In fact, I have 3 more copies of it growing in my backyard. As a coincidence, I strip picked that tree tonight (like most the rest of the peach trees in my backyard, it didn't set many fruit) and sold some.

It's also my daughters favorite peach. We used to call this tree "Ubby Dubby", a name my daughter came up with when she was little girl, since we didn't know the real name of the peach. We've since changed the name to "Tubby Dubby" to better fit with our orchard name. Since it's my favorite peach, I view it as our signature peach and thought it made sense to name it sort of after our orchard.

I'd love to find out the true identity of the peach, but doubt I ever will.
