do people remember where you live now?

Sunday labor day weekend. Mother, mother in law, nephew,son, granddaughters, brother in law , sister all remembered today. they left with 30 quarts of blueberries, 3 bushels of apples, 12 gal of cider,3 bags of peaches, 4 5 gal pails of potatoes,5 quarts of blackberries, hundreds of cukes/squash/zuks, some plumbs,onions and green beans.I never seem to be popular when it's time to plow ,plant and weed and they seemed to be disapointed that deer had not bin a big problem this year (not a freezer full of meat).Lol it was fun watching a 6 year old turning the handle on a 1872 cider press.

Could I come visit raven...I've never been to Maine, but always thought I'd like to go? I'll bring my own buckets.

BTW...I hope you know I'm just joking....although I do love blueberries. You are like the family farmer's market!

Good luck getting the grandkids to help with plowing etc. All the kids I see couldn't be less interested in gardening or growing anything. I find that sad and somewhat disturbing.

Anyway, sounds like you had a great visit with your family. That 6 year old will remember that for a long time. I know things like that when I was a kid stick in my mind to this day...very vividly too.

Come on down Appleseed just pump up first. I think I pushed the swing more times then the grand daughters turned the cider crank.
