| I've come to the point where I have a Bartlett on seedling rootstock that's 11' in height. I've read, but never performed the pruning of the main leader, in order to limit height without promoting new growth. I want to keep it at 10".
Has the time come? Thanks. |

| The sooner you do it the smaller the wound, although such a wound shouldn't pose much of a problem for a healthy tree. Prune down to a decent sized branch if you can. |

| Hman, The diameter is at 1/2 inch. And I loose about 18". I'm thinking about holding off to get one more set up there. Thanks. |
