| Looks like the fruit of a Magnolia tree of some sort. Photos of the leaf could help ID the species of magnolia, but I don't believe it is edible regardless. |

| It is a magnolia. I have one that is dry on my windowsill. They are pretty, but not edible. Mrs. G |
