Effect of rootstock on fruit maturation date?

Just wondering if anybody has ever noticed if the rootstock has any effect on fruit maturation within the same variety? Say Cripps Pink on Bud9 vs M106.

Anybody on here successfully growing Cripps Pink on the northern edge of zone 5? I see it has a long maturation date from full bloom. Love the apple just not sure if it will ripen here.

Yup, it can delay or advance relative to another. Ditto with leafing out, flowering, chill hours, precociousness and vigor. Intersteming too.

No hard and fast rules but dwarfing rootstock usually makes fruit appear sooner both in age and in season. But you are probably taking one year sooner and maybe a couple of days sooner.

My potted apple and pear trees ripen about 1 week earlier.
