Nectarine variety suggestions?

One of my peach trees (Indian Blood) died when a mild frost hit during it's bloom. Quite surprising, actually, no other trees, including my Burbank July Elberta, were affected. They weren't in mid-bloom, either, however.

Anyway, I have a tree spot available now, and would like to plant a nectarine. A variety that ripens mid-August or later might be nice.

I tend to like fruit with lots of acid and sugar. My dad once told me that Ruby Grand is a very good variety. Any thoughts?
