Good temperature range for chip budding apricots?

I have some decent rootstock and a good budstick but I don't remember the useable temperature range for apricot. We've been dropping into the high 50's and touching the low-middle 90's and can expect to continue that for the rest of the week. After that it's hard to guess.

My limited experience says that budding too early might be an issue. With my long season July/August buds heal in but then often don't push next spring. Next time I'm waiting until September. In your zone August is probably right but that's just a guess. I think temperatures will be OK for you another month. If properly wrapped I can't see 90s being too hot but 80s might be better.
