Though I really don't like Red Delicious, I have 2 of them that have been bearing for a few years now. Every year they have put on just a few small fruit that are bright red and shiny, with that bland, uninteresting Red Delicious taste. This year, they put out a fairly heavy crop, got larger, and are a bright yellow with pretty decent flavor. I know heat and drought must have influenced this, but is this common? My other red apples were normal.
