| Red fleshed pears from Italy and striped pears from the Ukraine. Supposedly from what I have read the striped pears have little taste or sugar. Experience with either of these? Even though a pear is interesting looking, I'm still looking for sweetness and good taste. The red fleshed Cocomerina looks very interesting. Am also looking at varieties of French Butter pears. I would love a great recommendation on the latter. Thanks! |

| You are probably more versed in this area than I but the GRIN lists several red-fleshed. The Summer Blood Birne is on the list of curator's favorites. |
