Fruitfly infestation in bramble patch

My blackberry patch has a fruitfly infestation. :( Most of my berries appear to be maggot infested. I've noticed some clouds of flies.

What's the best treatment? Remove any fruit that's broken color and spray with an insecticide? Would Malathion do? I have concentrate of that in my garage.

Rather bummed.

Don't use Malathion. Search for the phrase "spotted wing drosophila" here and on the web. OSU has an excellent site.

Why not Malathion, it's rated excellent for control according to the Oregon site?

Here is a link that might be useful: http://spottedwing.org/system/files/Caneberry SWD Pesticides for OR and WA April 2013_0.pdf
