 o
Zone 10 Berries?

I'm trying to figure out which berries to order for my low-chill, dry-air, zone 10, with alkaline soil. I live in Southern California. I'm not talking about blueberries in containers (which are wonderful), but instead other berries, like Olallieberry and Marionberry, etc.

To my low-chill compatriots, what is your opinion?
Of the following, do any of these thrive in zone 10?
Are some of these just much better tasting or lackluster?
Am I missing any obvious berries?
Will any decent-tasting raspberries grow here?

Blackberry, Olallie
Blackberry, Marion
Blackberry, Dirksen Thornless
Boysenberry, Thornless
Loganberry, Thornless
Gooseberry, Pixwell
Raspberry, Bababerry (@twice the cost of the others)

I wasn't sure whether to post this in the fruit and orchard, vines or California forum. There should be a berry forum!

I can only speak to thornless boysenberries, and they are excellent here:

SoCal Boysens are touted in this forum thread from 2011:

Here is a link that might be useful: From 2011

Don't know that even a heat-tolerant gooseberry like Pixwell, is going to fare well in a zone 10 setting. If it does, you might also try Glenndale - better fruit quality, and can take some heat and sun that would fry the 'dessert' quality gooseberries. If you try 'em, afternoon shade will likely be helpful.
