OFM, my luck ran out!

Well, guess it was bound to happen some time. After 7 years of large, beautiful crops of peaches with absolutely no OFM damage they nailed me good this year! Strange thing, I wouldn't have been thinking about them other than watching for shoot tip strikes earlier in the year (none found) except that about 10 days ago they started showing up in large numbers in the CM traps in the apple orchard about 200 ft. away. Having never seen the moths before I identified them and then thought oh no, what kind of a mess is this crop in for? Well after processing about 20% of the crop, the answer is one heck of a mess. Guess I'll be battling another moth for years to come, oh joy.

Maybe I'll get lazy and just release a few billion Trichogramma wasps over the growing season next year to control the OFM, CM and Cabbage Loopers, sorry butterflies:)

Do you spray for OFM Micheal? If so, what do you use?

Scratch that...Ijust found Lorsban for the meager price of $202.00 for 6.65 lbs.
Imidan is available on ebay for $85.00 for 5 lbs.
Which is better (pros/cons)?
I'd like to hear as much feedback as possible. Obviously Lorsban must be better to be able to command such a monumentally higher price than Imidan unless of course the mix rate is lower. I'll check that.

Lorsban can't be used on pome or stone fruits when there is fruit on the tree, except as trunk sprays.

Lorsban (chlorpyrifos) used to be labeled for all kinds of food, livestock and home uses, but now it's uses are pretty restrictive.

Haven't sprayed anything up to now as as mentioned, I've never had them invading my trees before and saw no need to spray for something that didn't exist. OFM exists now and I'll be spraying and monitoring with pheromone traps to time the sprays right for them in the future.
