| Is it too late to put cardboard bands around the trunks and/or scaffolds of my apple trees to catch the CM heading up to look for pupation sites in which to overwinter? I'm in zone 5b just south of the NE border. From all of this 1st year of trapping moths and record keeping, it seems the 3rd gen. is going to be winding down soon and I' don't yet see any reason to believe a fourth is coming. That would mean the CM is getting ready to go into Winter quarters and head for pupation sites up the trees, correct? |
