Peach success!

Just thought I would share, harvesting some delicious 'Reliance' peaches.
Planted this tree two years ago and she is loaded this year :)
They taste sooooo good! Glad I can grow such yummy peaches in the cold state of Maine :)

Well done and don't they taste great? That lingering peach taste is something else! I'm suffering from 'peach envy' this summer! Mrs. G

RE: Peach success!

I'll second that sentiment Mrs. G.

After having tasted a peach of my own for the first time I just can't hardly wait until next year to do it all over again! My measly 13 peaches weren't nearly enough!

Good on you Goudreau!!! Happy for your success!

RE: Peach success!

That is great success in your zone. Hope it continues. We picked 30-40 peaches today. And we probably picked 200 before today.

I must have 100 or more left on my Reliance, and Contender is about to ripen next. Contender probably has 100 peaches on it in its first year of fruit.

I am going to severely prune after harvest as I have branches hanging to the ground.

RE: Peach success!

Beautiful peaches. Yes, it was a very good year here in central Illinois, too. Happiness is a great peach harvest. Canning is a chore but well worth it when the snow flies!
