Once again its time for juicing apple! I plan to juice for the 1st time and need some opinions on the pros and cons of using a garbage disposal for grinding the apples. All opinions appreciated.

I dont think a garbage disposal is safe for food consumption. We use this at home for making juice. It works very well, and really dries out the apple flesh.

I think the garbage disposal is pretty safe since most are out of stainless steel. Don Yellman is using it for years. There might be more info when you Google for Don.

Thanks Konrad! Gala-Gala

You have to jury rig a garbage disposal to work as a juicer. Juicers can be picked up for cheap and are engineered to do the job right out of the box.

I used cheap skill saw blades most common on the market,...think 7 1/4" diameter. Sorry, no drawings. Grinding whole apples...see video.
