| I have a two-year old Muscadine vine grown from seed.
It has developed many arial roots lately. Is is normal? What must I do? Thank you. Durai |

| Why plant the seeds? One in four thousand will make a good/great grape. Are you breeding or just wanted to see what would happen. What variety are you using? |

| Someone from Florida sent me the seeds. I do not know the variety. The label just read 'Red Muscadine Seeds' and 'Green Muscadine Seeds' I hope someone can send me some Cuttings. I have 7 vines from those seeds in my backyard. I will appreciate any suggestions Durai |

| Could you be seeing the tendrils and thinking they are aerial roots? |

| I see those on some of my vines ever year and wondered what they were. But, to be honest, I just cut them off when I do my winter pruning in February. Good luck on getting fruit, even with cuttings, as at least one vine will need to be either a male or one of the self-fertile (perfect) hybred varieties. Personally, I would order at least one "perfect" variety from Ison's Nursery, such as an Ison (purple) muscadine or Granny Val (green) scuppernong, just to make sure pollination with your other seed-grown varieties is not an issue. Both are self-fertile varieties that are hardy growers and produce lots of muscadine. |

| Ison purple muscadine is the best I have ever tasted. I have a 7 year old that I root dozens of new ones every summer off of. I'm in Pensacola, FL if you send me your email I can root some for you and send them when they go dormant. tiptoe2u@bellsouth.net |

| you guys can't seriously be talking about casually sending cuttings through international mail? This is how pest and disease issues get imported and then run wild. Importing live plant material into a new country has strict regulations around it for good reason. |

| Thanks windfall_rob for keeping us straight. My guess is Ison's, being a professional nursery, would know the requirements for shipping ag products overseas, if it is even legal. However, it is definitely not a good idea to put backyard ag products in an envelope and ship them ANYWHERE, let alone to some other country. |
