I am sorry to report the passing of John Gordon of Amherst, New York. Many here know of his great knowledge of nut trees, persimmons and pawpaws. My regret is that I found John only in the last year, and never had the chance to meet him or visit his nursery. I strongly recommend his book--available free online--to anyone interested in these trees. You will learn a great deal about planting, culture, grafting and breeding.

Sorry to here the sad new. I spoke to John several times last year and bought some pawpaw scionwoods from him. He was so friendly and has a love for fruit and nut trees. I try to attach the old post with his book. Tony

That's sad news. I also bought persimmon scions and rootstock from him. I was looking forward to buying more from him. I liked his website too. John S PDX OR
