Keeping voles and mice etc from chewing berry bushes over winter?

This is fairly large scale- nearly an acre planted up.

I've had great luck keeping the voles off of fruit trees with use of mothballs and a tinfoil wrap.

But that seems impractical for blueberries, blackberies, gooseberries, raspberries and currants etc etc, due to their multiple canes or lower branching habits.

I can't imagine the snow melting next spring and finding that hard work was chewed to the ground or worse.

Any ideas? They can be horrible here, and with farmland all around traps are quite impractical. Snow is too deep for cats and even owls to keep numbers down. Thanks!
