Asian pear tree decline

Hi guys,

I had to remove a girdling root from my pear tree last fall. This last year, it had small, wilted leaves with small fruit. Most of the leaves fell off prematurely, but we did experience record breaking heat in June. The soil did sink around the tree as well.

I believe the issue was the removed root. Now that it has been so long, what is the suggested method for getting it healthy? Just pruning and time? Is bone meal a good idea?

Any suggestions are much appreciated!
